Sweet Kicks Burlesque is owned and operated by me, Rosie, a trained burlesque and showgirl dancer based on the border of Wiltshire and Somerset, UK.

I set up Sweet Kicks Burlesque in November 2021 and I have carefully built a supportive and fun community for those wanting to indulge in the art of burlesque across Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset.

Since 2021, Sweet Kicks Burlesque has become a wonderful, popular group of dance students attending weekly classes and workshops, and organising social events with one another, adding friendship to this lovely group. Classes and workshops are a mixture of burlesque and showgirl styles. We use props such as feather fans, boas, chairs, tassels, fire, balloons, silks, clothing and more.

Burlesque is an incredibly welcoming and inclusive community to become part of. It is such an empowering style of dance. Students will be given tips and tricks to learn how to be comfortable in their own skin, to love themselves and embrace themselves, just as they are.

Classes and workshops are suitable for beginners, for ladies aged 18 & up, and suitable for all shapes and sizes. Alternative moves can be provided throughout to accommodate a wide range of health conditions including fibro and joint replacements. We wear normal exercise clothes and dance barefoot or in socks, and heels are optional. All the Sweet Kicks students are warm and welcoming, you will feel right at home in classes and workshops.

We also have social events and organise day trips and nights out together for those who want to dip into an active social side. For instance some of us do yoga or aerial classes together, we regularly go out to see burlesque and cabaret events and meet for coffee outside of class times.

Sweet Kicks Burlesque is available for hen parties, charity functions, birthdays, corporate events, prop hire, costume hire and more. I provide stage kitten/stage management, one-to-one tuition, choreo, team walkabouts, champagne pour and meet and greets. I also provide engaging Inspiring Women and WI Talks with an interactive session using props and music.

I also provide workshops with specialities in the Art of Burlesque, Showgirl, Body Confidence, Chair Burlesque, Feather Fans, Boas, Female Empowerment, L*pdance Tutorials, Specialist Props, Floorwork and Burlesque Str!ptease. All my classes and workshops are centred around having fun, developing self-confidence, they are excellent for beginners, very social anxiety friendly and incredibly empowering.

In my spare time I am a keen horse rider with two horses of my own, I love all animals and the great outdoors. I am married to Alex and have two stepchildren who live with us.
